Alicia Silverstone gave the finger to this body slander caption on a very honest TikTok
Alicia Silverstone isn't afraid to speak her mind.
The Clueless star made a TikTok to condemn a paparazzi photo posted online with the caption "Alicia Silverstone Candid Fat Photo."
In the video, the actress raises her middle finger at the person who wrote the caption while the viral song "abcdefu" plays in the background. 'Damn. I think I look good #abcdefu," Silverstone captioned the video.
Being fat is not a bad thing in itself, and "looking good" is not the opposite of fat, but it's a really odd qualifier to write under any woman's photo. Like writing "Candid Tall Photo of Alicia Silverstone" or something. Super weird.
Add to that the connotations that the word "fat" unfortunately still has today, and it's easy to see why this actress wasn't thrilled by it all.
She re-posted this TikTok on her Instagram, and her followers in blue gave their #impressions.
"People who clearly have too much time on their hands? The media is really weird! Commenting on how women's bodies look... No reason at all? Get out of here!!!!" Body Confidence activist Alex Wright wrote.
"You look great and even if you didn't: STFU," wrote beauty journalist Sari Hughes.
"I love you," Selma Blair simply phased in the world's most perfect clueless/legal blonde crossover.
Well, anyway, Alicia Silverstone must know that she looks amazing and fabulous, and that she's gotten used to these comments enough that they don't bother her much anymore. You have to see the silver lining here: at least she wasn't called "a virgin who can't drive." Now that would be very harsh.
