James Blunt Threatens to Release New Song on Spotify if Joe Rogan's Podcast Is Not Removed

I don't think a medal will be awarded for good tweeting. It would be for the best, as one would die without ever tasting the sweet glory. However, if a medal were actually awarded for good tweeting, I think we can all agree that James Blunt would win it all.

As his latest trick, this proud two-hit wonder tackled the Joe Rogan/Spotify controversy. After Neil Young asked the streaming platform to choose between his music and Logan's podcast, and they chose the latter, Brandt decided to try another strategy.

"If @spotify doesn't remove @joerogan immediately, I will release new music to the platform. #youwerebeautiful," he tweeted.

In case you're wondering, James Blunt is the author of the mid-90s ballads "You're Beautiful" and "Goodbye My Lover," songs that many people loved and still love (hi) but which were widely derided as too sentimental ... In classic British self-deprecating fashion, the singer now regularly appears on social media to join in the fun.

One Twitter user wrote, "My neighbor has been playing @JamesBlunt on full blast for 3 days straight. Frankly, it would be beautiful to throttle them, it's true," lamented Blunt, who was concerned. And Blunt worried."

But that doesn't mean he takes every insult in stride. Someone said to him, "Nice! It's magical to hear a self-deprecating person like you say that! I hated that 'Goodbye my lover' song, but you are a great guy!" He said. Brandt conveyed some congratulations: "Here's to you Alan! I have a lot of things I don't like about you, but I hope to find something I like about you someday!" Heartwarming.

It is also worth noting that while Joe Rogan spreads misinformation about vaccines, James Blunt is a big fan of science and not getting sick.

"Guys, the government is giving away free medicine, I'll try them all," he recently tweeted, along with a picture of three vaccine cards.
