Kate Middleton wears the coat she wore to Princess Charlotte's christening to her latest engagement ceremony

I'm starting to worry about Kate Middleton's closet. I mean, she probably has enough clothes for two rooms at Kensington Palace, but still, if she had them all, they must be ripped off, right?

Anyway, it's a bit crazy to wear it only once, as celebrities often do, and even more so if it's a designer item.

And so it is. In her latest official engagement, the Duchess of Cambridge took off the white Alexander McQueen coat she wore to Princess Charlotte's christening in 2015 (via the Daily Mail). The coat in question features large lapels, a nipped-in waist, and an elegant knee-length cut. Here's what she wore in 2015:

And 2022:

She and her husband, Prince William, attended an Anzac Day service at Westminster Abbey. The service commemorated "the memory of Australians and New Zealanders who lost their lives in the conflict and to give thanks for all those who served," the Cambridges wrote on Instagram.

To show her respect, the Duchess accessorized with a poppy pin, traditionally worn throughout November in the UK as a symbol of remembrance and on Anzac Day.

She wore simple black pumps and carried a black clutch bag.

On her head, she wore what I, not being a fashion editor, venture to call a halo hat, a white, hollow-middle, donut-like hat with a stunning black satin ribbon at the back to show off the Duchess's lustrous curls.

Body language expert Darren Stanton commented on the Duke's regal demeanor and the Duchess' reverent appearance.

"William was very formally dressed as he walked to the cenotaph with a wreath," Stanton told Marie Claire on behalf of Slingo (opens in new tab).

"His carriage and posture were military, paying tribute to the fallen soldiers. Naturally, he took on a very solemn expression that suited the nature and atmosphere of the memorial service and was the most regal I have seen William conduct himself at a royal engagement.

"Normally, Kate would rely on her default preferences of red, blue, and purple, but she understood the importance of the day. Wearing white allowed her to be present and supportive at all times while performing her duties as senior royalty, despite the huge media attention she was receiving.

"There have been significant changes in the royal family over the past few years, and it is clear from Kate and William's body language that they are definitely being mentored in preparation for becoming the country's future king and queen in the years to come.
