Prince William and Kate Middleton disagree about Prince George attending boarding school

The Cambridges, who just celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary and seem to love each other more than ever, are apparently on opposite sides of the very important issue of whether their oldest son (and future king), Prince George, should attend boarding school.

According to "OK!", William is in favor, while Kate is hesitant. George, now 8 years old, is the same age his father William was when he first started boarding school, and according to the magazine, William wants George to attend Radgrove School in Berkshire. Kate, on the other hand, is unsure.

"Kate can't imagine what it would be like to come home after a busy day and not see George's face. The thought of it brings her to tears," a source told Life & Style. 'Their goal is to modernize the monarchy rather than follow old, rigid traditions. But William is demanding that George go to boarding school.

William "took some time to adjust" to boarding school, sources said, but "once he did, [he] loved it." When Kate was a child, she attended a school that offered both boarding and regular classes, but the Middletons chose the latter, and Kate came home every afternoon.

George now attends Thomas Battersea School in London with his sister, Princess Charlotte. Royal blogger Gertrude Daly believes that if the Cambridges decide to move George to a boarding school, he may struggle because he will be "away from his safety net."

Royal expert Ingrid Sward called the Cambridges "modern parents" who "would consider schooling decisions very carefully." I think they will watch their children's personalities develop and take into account whether they would be happy living away from home."

Sward added that it would not be a major shock if the royal family broke this long-standing tradition.

"William and Kate's thinking would be, if the kids are happy in school, why change things," she said. 'If I were Kate, I would feel more comfortable with George, the heir to the throne, at boarding school. I would have more freedom there, and they would be well protected from outside dangers."

As Marie Claire reported last week, the search for a school in Cambridge is underway and we will soon know what the Duke and Duchess decide.
