Meghan Markle reportedly plans to reopen her blog, The Tig

Royal fans will recognize Meghan Markle's lifestyle blog, The Tig, which she wrote before becoming a member of the royal family.

Since the Sussexes are basically social media-free, we rarely get to see their intimate lives. That is why it is wonderful news that the Duchess of Sussex is likely planning to reopen "The Tig".

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office website lists a trademark entry for "The Tig" filed by Markle's attorney, Marjorie Witter Norman, on February 25, 2022. Its description reads, "Providing a website featuring non-downloadable articles, interviews, photographs, and commentary in the areas of food, cooking, recipes, travel, relationships, fashion, style, lifestyle, art, culture, design, conscious living, and health and wellness."

However, the Daily Mail reports that the Duchess hit a bump in the road: apparently she did not sign the necessary paperwork for her trademark application to become effective in September, and was then told she would have to wait six months before reapplying, though the timeline is somewhat unclear. The Mail had previously reported that she applied for the trademark in July 2021. So, even if she did make a minor blunder (which would be a familiar one), it is possible that it is now in the past, but again, everything is a bit unclear.

Of course, the Duchess herself has not made any announcements about her plans for a fresh start (if any), so we'll have to wait to hear anything from the horse's mouth. [Meanwhile, an excerpt from Tina Brown's "The Palace Papers" has been making the rounds in recent days, in which the author says that Markle wanted "The Tig" to be like Gwyneth Paltrow's "Goop."

"She was often still on set at 4 a.m.," Brown writes (via Town & Country). She was "confident she could emulate the success of Goop, the pampering and wellness e-commerce site that Gwyneth Paltrow launched as a second act, including a $550 healing quartz necklace and $66 yoni eggs that boost orgasms.

"'Megan was always talking about Goop,' said one of the 'Suits' team."
