Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas shared the first photo of their daughter Maruti Marie with fans on Instagram, while also revealing the heartbreaking news that the baby girl spent 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit.

The parents shared the same photo and caption, "On this Mother's Day, we can't help but reflect on these past months and the roller coaster ride we've been on.

"After over 100 days in the NICU, our little girl finally made it home. Every family's journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith. Our journey was a difficult few months, but looking back, I see how precious and perfect every moment was. [We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home. And we want to thank all the doctors, nurses, and specialists at Rady Children's La Jolla and Cedar Sinai in Los Angeles who have selflessly been there every step of the way. Our next chapter begins now, let's be M! I love you both, Dad and Mom. [The couple then each added a personal message.

Chopra added, "Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and caretakers in my life and out there. You make it look so easy. Thank you.

"Also... There is no one I would rather do this with than you. Thank you @nickjonas for making me a mom I love you

Jonas said, "All the incredible mothers out there Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers and caregivers out there, but I want to take a moment to say a special Mother's Day wish to my incredible wife @priyankachopra on her first Mother's Day.

Jonas and Chopra confirmed that they had Marti Marie via surrogate in January 2022.

Around that time, a source told People, "This is a happy time for all. Nick and Priyanka are definitely ready for this new challenge in their lives, it's what they both wanted. The time is now, and they couldn't be more ready to raise their children."

The new parents were married at the end of 2018 and Marti Marie is their first child together.
