Being on the balcony of Buckingham Palace is not important to Harry and Meghan, sources say
For Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, standing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee next month was never a big deal; according to the Mirror, all the couple cares about is that their children Archie and Lili will meet the Queen, Archie had not seen her in two and a half years, and Lili for the first time ever.
The Queen has made the decision that only the active royal family will be on the balcony for "Trooping the Colour" on June 2.
"They did not say they wanted to be on the balcony. 'I think this was more to make sure Prince Andrew wasn't on the balcony, rather than Harry and Meghan. I added Harry and Meghan so it wouldn't look like they were ignoring Andrew."
In a statement from the Sussex couple released shortly after the Queen's balcony decision was announced by Buckingham Palace, a spokesman said:" The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, are excited and honored to attend the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations with their children this June." (The Platinum Jubilee, set for June 2 to June 5, also coincides with the first birthday of Harry and Meghan's daughter Lilibet Diana.)
The Sussexes visited the Queen at Windsor Castle on April 14, on their way to the Invictus Games in Holland and there, and it was suggested that the couple attend the Platinum Jubilee. The most important thing to Harry and Meghan, Love said, is the Queen and getting their children to meet her.
"What Harry and Meghan reportedly want to do is have their grandchildren meet the Queen," she says.
And who wouldn't swoon at the moment Lilibet and Lili meet during the queen's big celebration?
