Prince William "still wary" of spending time alone with Prince Harry, royal official says
The rift between Prince William and Prince Harry was not particularly helped by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's visit to England for the Platinum Jubilee.
And if that doesn't help, I'm not sure what will when the Sussexes return to their new life in California.
The two princes were incredibly close until Harry quit his royal job to protect the couple's mental health, but have reportedly had a rocky relationship ever since.
Prior to the jubilee, there were reports that the two had reunited in a series of video calls, but a royal source now claims that is not the case. (While such quotes should be taken with a grain of salt, it cannot be denied that the Cambridges and the Sussexes were not seen interacting in public at all during the latter's visit to "Prati Jubes.")
"Things are still a mess. William is still wary of spending time alone with Harry. We don't know what will be reported afterwards," a U.K.-based source told Page Six.
After all, aren't they "back to their old ways"?
The Cambridges were invited to Lilibet's first birthday party in Windsor, but were reportedly unable to attend because they were scheduled to be in Wales. However, if they had no choice, it would not be a snub, would it?
Nevertheless, it seems that the two brothers and their wives did not spend time together during this four-day weekend, and it is not clear what went on behind closed doors.
As to whether this transatlantic trip gave Harry, Meghan, and their children a taste for more time in the Duke's homeland, royal expert Russell Myers is not so sure.
According to "OK!", Myers said on the TV show "Lorraine" that he does not imagine the Sussexes will return "in the near future," citing the still "raw" emotions of all involved.
I wish I could bake a cake full of rainbows and smiles and everyone could eat and be happy. ......
