Prince Harry "gallops into the future" during polo competition in California: royal expert

Prince Harry may have moved to a completely different continent, but that doesn't mean he's leaving all his favorite British traditions behind.

Thankfully for the Duke of Sussex, there are polo matches in Southern California that he can attend.

In his first public appearance since returning to the U.S. from the Jubilee ceremony in England, Harry was photographed on June 10 playing polo with a local team, the Los Padres, in Carpinteria, Santa Barbara County. This was after a game at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club in May.

But polo is not only a royal sport, it is also a passion he has shared with his father Prince Charles and brother Prince William since he was a small child. "He has given up much of his former life, but his passion for polo, evident in recent photos of him on and off the horse."

"Indeed, after returning to the UK for the Platinum Jubilee, he is back in the saddle and galloping into the future.

During his stay in England, the prince did not spend any time alone with the Duke of Cambridge and spoke with the queen for only 15 minutes. Perhaps playing polo is his way of feeling close to his family in that way.
