Prince Harry looks "more like himself" when attending events without Meghan Markle: Body Language Expert
It is clear how close Prince Harry, who plays in Southern California, feels to polo.
The Duke of Sussex is a member of a local team, the Los Padres, which played its last game on Friday in Carpinteria, Santa Barbara County.
The Duke of Sussex has practiced horseback riding since he was a small child, a passion he shares with his father Prince Charles and brother Prince William.
However, according to body language expert Darren Stanton, the Duke looks incredibly happy while playing.
"It's really interesting that Prince Harry always looks the most relaxed and genuinely the happiest when he is interacting with all the other players and participants at the Invictus Games, or in other sports such as polo competitions," said Stanton, who is working with Slingo (new tab open in new tab) on behalf of Marie Claire.
"When Harry is on his horse, you can see in his face a determination to do well from the bottom of his heart. But at the polo match over the weekend, his expression was one of absolute elation and happiness as he played the sport and interacted with the people.
"It's clearly genuine happiness, as his entire face is tight and you can see the raven's footprints by his eyes in the pictures from the event."
"Prince Harry spoke with David Foster, with whom he seems to have formed a wonderful friendship." "You can see the excitement in Harry's body language when he is talking to David."
The royal family spoke with Foster and his wife, Catherine McPhee, on the sidelines.
Stanton also commented on the Duke's demeanor while spending time away from his wife.
"With a confidence and resilience not often seen when he is accompanied by Meghan Markle, Harry also seems to be more of his own man when he is attending events alone," he added.
