Prince William and Prince Harry's relationship has not improved.

Their bond, once thought to be basically unbreakable, was deeply strained by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's decision to leave royal life and move to California.

Some thought that the Sussexes' return to England for the Jubilee celebrations would build a bridge between the two brothers, but it seems the opposite was true. Harry was reportedly very hurt (and rightfully so) by the cold treatment he received from his family and by the Cambridges' absence from Lilibet's birthday party. [On the contrary, one anonymous source believes that their relationship has continued to deteriorate and is basically "doomed" and "beyond repair."

The insider told Us Weekly that their relationship "hit rock bottom" after the Sussexes' Oprah interview, and that no real progress has been made since.

The source added that William "doesn't know who [Harry] is anymore and their trust is strained." Apparently, "the two will never recover from the damage they have done."

Hopefully, Kate Middleton will be able to "bridge the gap" enough to heal some of the wounds. Elsewhere, Princess Diana's former butler, Paul Burrell, recently claimed that the late Princess, mother of William and Harry, would never have allowed such a rift in the first place.

"If she was still here," Burrell said at the time, "it wouldn't have been this bad." She would have bumped their heads." Let's hope for everyone's sake that the two princes can work this out.
