Chris Pratt believes his relationship with religion has led him to be called "Chris the Worst."

Memes are all fun and games until they turn everyone on the Internet against one person. [Chris Pratt has undeniably been the subject of this phenomenon, as he has begun to be branded "the worst Chris" among Hollywood royalty Chris, along with Pine, Hemsworth, and Evans.

In a new interview with Men's Health, the Jurassic World actor offered a theory as to why people seem to like him less than other famous Christians: he believes it has to do with his relationship with his religion.

As noted in the interview, people found out about Pratt's faith from his speech at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. God loves you. God loves you.

For Pratt, religion often has negative connotations for people these days, and he believes the buck stops with him.

"Maybe it's hubris. I don't think it would have resonated with anybody because I got up on the platform and said something like that," he told Men's Health magazine.

"Religion has been oppressive as s*** for a long time.

"I never thought I would be the face of religion, even though I'm not a religious person. Being religious, that is, following conventions created by man, often appropriating the reverence reserved for a God I believe to be real, and using it to control people, to take money from people, to abuse children, to steal land, to justify hatred I think there is a fine line between that and using it to control people, to take money from people, to abuse children, to steal land, to justify hatred. Whatever it is.

"The evil in every man's heart has attached itself to the back of religion and ridden along with it."

Pratt has been outspoken about his values before, such as when he called for more blue-collar representation in Hollywood in 2017. So no matter what you think of him personally, he is not going to remain silent on what matters to him.
