Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian Break Silence on Pancreatitis

Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian discussed his emergency hospitalization last week.

The Blink-182 drummer was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on a stretcher, TMZ first reported. Kardashian did not leave her husband's side while he was being treated for pancreatitis. Now, the two have taken to Instagram to detail their experience to their followers.

"I went in for an endoscopy on Monday and felt great," he shared on his Instagram Story, according to People.

"But after dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been in the hospital ever since. The endoscopy removed a very small polyp in a very sensitive area that is usually handled by specialists, but unfortunately damaged the drainage tube of the vital pancreas. This resulted in serious, life-threatening pancreatitis.

Barker continued, "I am very, very grateful that with intensive treatment I am now much better."

The founder of Push added on her Instagram that she was "very touched and grateful" for the support she received from fans. She continued. 'Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change. Travis and I went for a routine endoscopy together and he ended up with severe, life-threatening pancreatitis."

The reality star explained that it is "crazy how sometimes you can't really express in words the gratitude and emotions" inside you.
