Duchess Kate reveals that even her children scold her

Parental guilt is a real thing. It's easy to feel guilty when blogs and parenting "experts" are constantly telling you what you're doing is wrong, when social media filters make it seem like everyone else easily gets it, when you're tempted to compare yourself unfavorably to other parents in your friendships, and so on: ...... Yes, being a parent is super hard. (For the record, you're doing great!)

But you know who gives parents the worst guilt for their children.

Just ask Kate Middleton. Even without the parenting "pros" who always come under intense scrutiny and weigh in that Louis' antics during the Queen's Jubilee must reflect Kate's parenting (not true, kids are kids), she admitted to being guilt-ridden by George, Charlotte, and Louis on the home front as well! ...

Duchess Kate appeared on the "Happy Mum, Happy Baby" podcast, a longtime activist for early childhood education and healthcare, and during our chat mentioned that her children are more like yours than you think.

As reported by the Express, podcast host Giovanna Fletcher asked the Duchess if she ever felt guilty as a mother. I think anyone who doesn't as a mother is lying. Yes, all the time."

She even gave an example of how her own children feel guilty: "Even this morning, before we went to visit the nursery, George and Charlotte said, 'Mom, why don't you walk us to school this morning? No, it's always a challenge.'

Can you imagine? 'Sorry kids, Mum is the future Queen of England and I can't always drop you off!

Kate didn't offer any specific advice (because that's all parents are good for!) ), showed some solidarity: "It's something I've heard over and over again from Mums. It's something we hear over and over again from moms. I think it starts from the moment you have a baby."

So next time you feel like a terrible parent, scolded by your children, remember: even Kate Middleton's children make her feel like crap, despite the endless resources and palace staff to help. And isn't that reassuring?
