Priyanka Chopra reportedly once snubbed Prince William and Kate at Wimbledon.
Wimbledon seems like the most glamorous of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments. There is grass, there is bright white clothing, and there is a royal box where actual royalty sits. No offense to the French Open, but not to Roland Garros. And this particular tea has to do with the fact that Priyanka Chopra Jonas entertained Prince William and Kate Middleton at last year's tournament. [Meghan Markle and Priyanka Chopra became best friends around 2016, when they met at a magazine party. As you almost certainly know, Meghan would marry Prince Harry two years later. Priyankaar was also present at their royal wedding, and their friendship is at the heart of this gossip.
According to Express UK, Priyankar attended Wimbledon last year and, as this year, was seated just two rows behind William and Kate in the royal box. When the royal family entered the stadium, several familiar onlookers apparently noticed that Priyankar did not clap along with the rest of the people in the stadium, and that when the announcer announced their arrival to the stadium, he did not even look at them, but instead adjusted his scarf.
And, according to some onlookers, Priyankaar was definitively taking Meghan's side in the family feud between the two princes and their wives. Hmmm, indeed.
There are two ways to look at this: one, Priyankaar was quietly supporting her friend Meghan during her and Harry's Oprah interview, just months after some pretty ugly revelations about her treatment by the royal family. If not applauding the people sitting in front of you is the best one can do to show that one's loyalties lie elsewhere, it is very innocent.
The second (and far more likely) is that Priyankaar was only photographed in a few instances between applause and while adjusting her scarf, creating new drama as some audience members were ready to interpret it as Megan's fault.
In short, it's not that serious a problem. And anyway, both Priyankar and Kate looked perfectly fine at this year's match, sitting just two rows apart.
So the axe was buried... Or there was no axe at all.
