Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix documentary is apparently timed to coincide with The Crown.
In May, it was reported that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were filming a documentary for Netflix on "Staying at Home with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex Style" and were actually spotted being followed by a camera crew during an official event.
Now, sources tell Page Six that Netflix wants to accelerate the release of the series to coincide with the new season of "The Crown," perhaps to keep up with the times. Season 5 of the hit show will hit screens in November 2022.
"There's a lot to sort out and a lot going on. Netflix wants to "make sure we don't get scooped" by Harry's memoir, one source said.
The much-anticipated book was supposed to be released this fall, but since it has only been announced and is nowhere to be found, it is unclear when we will actually be able to get our hands on it. Still, Netflix seems to be taking no chances.
"[Netflix executives] knew the book was coming out. They don't want to put it off any longer."
I personally am super excited about this alleged documentary, but neither Netflix nor House of Sussex responded to requests for comment, so technically it still remains a rumor that this show will happen.
As of this writing, the House of Sussex's Archewell website lists only one upcoming video project, the Netflix documentary Heart of Invictus, about Harry's Invictus Game initiative There is no.
You may remember that Meghan Markle's animated series for Netflix, "Pearl," was canceled earlier this year.
