Katie Holmes Wears the Underrated Animal Print Trend That Everyone Will Be Wearing This Winter
Since the phrase “mob wife” was first used in early 2024, leopard print has been all the rage. The trendy motif became astronomically popular and virtually took over my closet about a year later.
But while the fashion girls were stocking up on spots (I just ordered these Reformation boots, if you're interested), high-end designers were quietly introducing new animal prints for the masses. This season's collections are pushing leopard print to the forefront, but also incorporating quite a few tiger stripes.
Katie Holmes has been quick to adapt to this emerging trend, wearing this tropical print silk slip skirt last night, and on December 9, the star of Our Town, her Broadway co-star in Theory and her was photographed at an exclusive dinner in New York City hosted by Zoe Deutch. Of course, she was wearing a simple black fitted turtleneck from Theory, which effectively pulled off her statement skirt. (Her exact style can be purchased here, $93.)
After a glass of white wine, Holmes opted for all-black accessories that perfectly balanced her statement piece. She wore knee-high patent leather boots and a top-handled calf-hair bag from the same brand. Finally, gold earrings accented the look.
I like the speck as much as the next fashion editor, but I think there is an important message here: in a world of leopard print, be the tiger.
