Netflix's new crime thriller Black Doves is a sophisticated British spy drama that needs to join a list of must-see TV shows. Created by Gili/Haji director Joe Barton, the six-episode series stars Keira Knightley as the wife of a gorgeous politician in modern London.A man who married him to supply state secrets to a shadowy organization called the Black Dove. Sam is a deadly assassin and a natural killer, but he could not shut out his conscience. A decade ago, he was brought to train Helen and she became his best friend. At the start of the Black Dove, Sam is called back to London after an extended exile to help Helen investigate Jason's killer.
Ben Whishaw, 44, is an acclaimed British actor best known for playing Tech Master Q in the James Bond films staring at Daniel Craig, including 2001's "My Brother Tom", 2006's "Perfume: The Story of A Murderer", 2015's "The Lobster", and 2018's "My Brother Tom". Mary Poppins Returns, AMC's "This Is Going to Hurt," 2022's "Women Talking," and 2023's "Passages." She was married to Australian composer Mark Bradshaw from 2012 to 2022.
Reed, Helen's handler and Sam's occasional boss, works in the leadership of the Black Dove. As she explains to Helen, her aim is to make money by selling secrets to the highest bidder and she cares about whether her client is good or bad
Sarah Lancashire, 60, is an award-winning British actress and has appeared in dozens of roles across television, film, and theatre over her career of nearly 40 years. Previously the highest-paid TV actress in the UK, her notable roles include the long-running soap Coronation Street, the Bbc's Halifax and Happy Valley's Last Tango, Max's Julia and Everybody's Talking About Jamie in 2021.
Helen's husband Wallace is a conservative Minister of Defense, whose ambitions tend to get in the way of his waning desire to do good. Not knowing that she is the spy who targeted him as the future Prime minister, he has happily married Helen for the last eight years.
Andrew Buchan, 45, is a British actor best known internationally for playing the bowels of Andrew Parker in Seasons 3 and 4 of the Crown, as well as hedge fund Felim Bichan in the hbo industry. He began his theatrical career and appeared in such shows and films as Party Animals on BBC Two, Broadchurch on ITV, Carnival Row on Prime Video and Apartment7A in 2024.Buchan had previously been married to actress Amy Nuttal from 2012 to 2022, but they share 2 children.

Andrew Koji, 37, is a half-English, half-day actor who grew up in Surrey, England. After a brief acting career in Japan, the martial artist returned to the UK and worked as an actor and stunt double, including performing stunts for Fast & Furious in 2013 6. He is best known for starring in the 2022 Bullet Train and Max crime series Warrior.
Michael (top, left) is a kind and kind man who doesn't know about London's dangerous underground world. A decade ago, he met Sam, they fell in love and together planned the future. When Sam returned to London a few years later, he decided to leave Michael alone.
Omari Douglas. 30, is a British actor of Jamaican heritage, nominated for the British Academy Television Awards and the Olivier Award. He made his TV debut in the Channel 4 miniseries It's A Sin, and has also appeared in Max's I Hate Suzie too and the 2023 rom-com Rye Lane. Last year, he co-starred with Bridgerton's Luke Thompson in the stage adaptation of Hanya Yanagihara's novel A Little Life.
Lenny, one of the bosses of the Black Dove spy and Assassin world, is the one who gave Sam his first job. She continues to manage Sam as one of her best triggermen before his mysterious disappearance. When he comes back, Renee, who demands loyalty from her client, says he owes her.
Catherine Hunter, 67, is a British-American actor and director of Greek heritage and is best known for her work in physical theatre. She is best known for her role in stealing scenes as Arabella Figg in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", the witch in "The Tragedy of Macbeth" in 2021, Edie Khan in the "Star Wars Series" and Madame Swinney, the brothel owner in "The Poor Ones" in 2023. Earlier this year, she starred as Solange in the psychological horror film "Front Room".
Williams (top, right), one of Lenny's freelance killers, is played by Ella Lily Highland, 26 years old. Last year, the Irish actress had her first lead TV role as a former tennis genius in the prime video drama Fifteen Love. She also had a supporting role in the show's intruders and a thousand blows.

The British actor from Ghanian heritage began his career in theatre and television before playing a groundbreaking role as Kwame in the Emmy-winning drama I May Destroy You. His most notable roles include the BBC Press, the London Gang of Sky Atlantic, Channel 5's Anne Boleyn, and the "Devil" episode of Black Mirror Season 6 of 79. He previously worked with Joe Barton, creator of Black Doves, on the sci-fi series The Lazarus Project.
