The "strong enough" singer, 78, said her mother, Georgia Holt, was her own mom when she was born in 1946. He explained that he decided to combine celebrity Monica with his famous name. When the nurse asked Holt what to call the baby, the 10・year-old mom replied, "Lana Turner is my favorite actress and her little girl is Sher My mother's name is Linda, so what about Cherilyn?

Along with the revelation of her shocking name, the pop star shared many other bombs in her memoirs. "I was lonely and dizzy," she wrote. "I saw how easy it was to get over the edge and simply disappear," he says.

Cher also shared that she asked Lucille Ball for advice when it came to her marital problems — and I love Lucy's star "She told me, 'F*ck him, you're someone who has talent,' the pop star wrote.
