Queen Camilla is reportedly 'heartbroken' and 'upset' by recent events
Queen Camilla had a difficult few weeks. After returning from a royal tour of Australia and Samoa with King Charles, the Queen was forced to withdraw from several official engagements in response to medical advice. Coupled with the death of her beloved rescue dog Beth, Camilla is reportedly devastated about recent events.
While talking with the "Royal Exclusive" show of the Sun, Royal photographer Arthur Edwards referenced the Queen's absence from the Memorial Day event at the Royal Albert Hall and the Cenotaph in London. And for her to miss them — obviously the reason is she's always coughing, she didn't want to embarrass anyone — it was tragic and Camilla was diagnosed with a chest infection and has reportedly been experiencing 'lingering' symptoms for several days since then.
The Sun also reported that "Camilla would have been left heartbroken by the recent death of her rescue Jack Russell, Beth.""
Edwards said to the outlet, "I remember once seeing [the dog] being engaged in Wiltshire."He continued," when she got out of the car and saw the dog, she went and played with the dog, and it made a better picture than any other engagement.
It is clear that Beth had an important place in Camilla's mind, The royal photographer said, "They were special to her and to the king. That is, the king absolutely loves animals."He continued," she would be upset about it.
Despite experiencing a lot of grief in recent weeks, Edwards said Queen Camilla was focused on her role within the royal family.
"Her main role is obviously to support the king and she will get on with it now," Edwards suggested to the outlet. As well as returning to work after recovering from a chest infection, Edwards wants Camilla to adopt another rescue dog.
Discussing Camilla's decision to skip an appearance at the annual Royal Variety Performance, the source told the Daily Mail, "He did not want to spoil the fun of others with her cough."The source also claimed that Camilla was "in good shape" but recovered from persistent symptoms and still "coughs every time she starts talking." As a result, the Queen decided to miss the public televised event, so as not to distract others in attendance.
