King Charles reveals His Emotional Christmas Gift to Queen Camilla
King Charles and Queen Camilla announced some sad news on May 11. On the 18th, the Queen's beloved Jack Russell terrier, Beth shared that has passed away. But ahead of what should be a sad holiday season for His Majesty, King Charles shared that the family has plans to expand soon.
The Queen was forced to withdraw from the Royal Variety Performance at the last minute of the 11th month. During the event, after suffering 22 chest infections, the King talked about hosts Amanda Holden and Alan Carr and Beth.
"We referred to Her Majesty, we wanted her well, and I offered my condolences to the dog," Holden said (via the Daily Mail). "I felt for her, when it happened, I really felt for her.
Apparently, while the Got Talent host in Britain was chatting with the king, he assured her that they would open their hearts to another puppy. "He said, "Merry Christmas, we're going to get a new one,"" Holden said.
The TV personality shares something in common with the Queen as she serves as Ambassador for the Battersea Dog and Cat House (Queen Camilla is the royal patron of the organisation).
Holden — who recently rescued the dog himself from charity — continues, "I said yes, but get it from Battersea.
Beth and the other dogs of the King and Queen, Bluebell, were both adopted from the dog and cat house in Battersea. Jack Russell has made several appearances over the years, and Beth helped Camilla unveil the plaque at an animal charity in 2020.
"A sad farewell to Beth, the Queen's much-loved companion from the Home of the Dog and cat @Battersea, who brought such joy, whether on walkies, assisting with public affairs, or by fire last week, the Royal Family announced on Instagram.
