Katie Holmes revealed that she "made something" when she forgot the lines during a performance on Broadway

Today, to prove that celebrities are really the same as the rest of us, Katie Holmes recently shared a story that makes anyone who shyly fails at work be seen.

In an interview on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday 11/27, the actress discussed her current stint on Broadway. She stars as Mrs. Webb in "The Revival of Our Town."And it was revealed that 1 performance of the classic play was memorable for all the worst reasons, when she forgot 1 of her lines on stage.

"I'm in the middle of the scene and I'm just...I said the whole line except for the last word, but I couldn't, I didn't remember it," she shared, admitting that her attempts to cover flub also didn't work. "I made something, but it didn't make sense and I got so red...And I panicked, so I just then said my line so fast and stay"

Holmes said that after an embarrassing moment, he got the very necessary emotional support from Jim Parsons, 1 of the production's co・stars.

"Jim later gave me a hug," Holmes explained. He said, "I've never seen anyone get rid of themselves by saying their lines so fast!"

Holmes revealed that no one else in the cast (including Ephraim Sykes, Zoe Detch, and Richard Thomas) was upset at all by Snuff, but admitted that she didn't stop caring about it, saying, "This is Broadway!""

In addition to the general embarrassment, the moment also reinforced the superstition for the actress, who explained to Jimmy Fallon that she usually goes all over her line three times at home before every performance— well, it's a good idea.", Almost any performance, that is. Holmes said that before the show just happened to be the night she froze and forgot the line on stage, she had her usual three of the lines at home

On the bright side, Dawson's Creek Alum had only great things to say about another of her Broadway rituals. She had been in a relationship for a few years: her pre-show Starbucks run, she seems to be receiving treatment in a small town in New York City.

"They are so lovely," she said of the staff at the Eighth Avenue location she visits before heading to the Barrymore Theatre, where the production is taking place. "Every time I go in, they know me and I know them and they want me a great show."
