Nicole Kidman addresses Popular meme Referring to Divorce from Tom Cruise
Nicole Kidman knows that after her divorce from Tom Cruise, certain photos of her have turned into uplifting memes. But according to the Oscar winner, the picture is completely misunderstood.
The meme in question includes a picture in which Kidman appears to be positively uplifting, throwing her arms out in relief, smiling and looking at the sky as she walks out into the street. Often the memes include: "On this day in 2001, the divorce of Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise was finalized!"But according to Kidman himself, the pictures are taken completely out of context.
Speaking with Gq, Kidman debunked the beloved meme and said, "It wasn't me; it was from the movie, it wasn't real life. I know that image!
As for the story that usually accompanies the image, with regard to her split from Cruise, the Big Little Lies star explained, "That's not true."According to GQ, Kidman laughed as he looked back at the meme and said, "There's always something behind the actual images that go there, right?"
Cruz filed for divorce from Kidman in 2001/2 and cited the date of separation as 12 months. 21,2000, just a few days before their tenth wedding anniversary, Entertainment Weekly reported.
While discussing the meme, Kidman also mentioned a memorable GIF that appears to be clapping in a very strange way at the 2017 Oscars, and "I've seen things clapping that way too," she said, recreating the funny moment. "It was really painful because I had a huge heavy borrowed ring, and I was afraid to spoil the jewelry. ha!"
As for the haunting AMC ad she made, she begged people to return to the cinema after the COVID-19 pandemic, but KIDMAN has no regrets. ""Heartbreak feels good in a place like this,"" she said, imitating herself. "But I'll do anything for the movie, so you can meme me as much as you like."
