Prince Andrew continues to "allow to be humiliated" during the Royal Lodge dispute with King Charles

Prince Andrew has made constant headlines throughout 2024 for his ongoing beef with King Charles. Following rumors that the king cut Andrew off financially, the prince was asked to leave his home, the Royal Lodge in Windsor. Now the royal experts asked why Andrew was humiliated in the situation.

While talking to OK! The magazine (via The Sun), former BBC Royal correspondent Jenny Bond, asked: "Why is he allowing himself to be so humiliated?""

Regarding Andrew's refusal to leave the Royal Lodge, Bond said, "He could have lived in Frogmore, where [ex・wife Sarah Ferguson] and the rest of the family had enough space to visit when they wanted.""Of course, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made Frogmore Cottage their home before moving to the US, but now it's empty.

Discussing the benefits of Frogmore Cottage, Bond said, "What stopped him because it was close to [Windsor Castle] and would give him the opportunity to calm his relationship with his older brother.

In Bond's opinion, Andrew was the perceived 'status' that living in a 30-room mansion like the Royal Lodge would bring." It can be affected by "How much is it worth?". "He hangs on the image and grandeur," she insisted.

Bond also mentioned rumors that Queen Elizabeth actually planned to ask Andrew to leave the Royal Lodge before her death.

"I think the late Queen probably realized that it's not good to have a disgraced prince living in a mansion for the rent of Peppercorn." Bond claimed, "Andrew was very in awe of his mother and would have followed her if he had put his foot down and asked him to leave.

Instead, it was King Charles who asked Prince Andrew to leave the estate, which seems to have caused greater family tensions.

"The great pressure on Charles's brother has been going on for a long time, and his patience has run out," Bond told the outlet. "It's interesting that the Queen obviously had a similar mind.

Ultimately, Bond wants Prince Andrew to leave the Royal Lodge because he believes King Charles is focused on public recognition.

"This is not just money," Bond explained. "[I]t is what it looks like: an idle and disgraceful duke swanning around on his horse, watching the aircraft take off or land on the big screen, his mother, and now his brother, drives his range rover about his considerable estate by no visible means of income except for what he chooses to give him. It is not a good image."
