Princess Kate missed the reception of the glittering tiara for the first time in a decadeト but quietly performed another royal duty

Buckingham Palace's annual Diplomatic Corps reception has been moved from its traditional 12th month date to Tuesday, 11th Month. The Royal went missing from this year's glamorous event on July 19. Kate Middleton has been attending a reception full of glittering tiaras every year since 2013 (minus once when she was in New York). But while she was staying home from a banquet on Tuesday night, the Princess of Wales took on another royal event.

Diplomatic Corps receptions usually kick off the holiday season for the Royal Family, but this year, state visits compete with its usual 12-month time frame. At the event in White Thailand, the Royal family welcomes various ambassadors and diplomats from around the world.

Princess Kate's attendance has always been a highlight for royal fans, with 3 moms showing off a number of stunning gowns, but her absence was even more disappointing, as it is only 1 out of a few times for a royal woman to break a tiara. But one royal expert pointed out that there are very good reasons why the royal family, who have been recovering from cancer treatment in recent months, are likely to have been at home.

Robert Hardman, author of "The Palace of Psychological Thought", is here! "If she starts to return to major social events, it will lead people to think that things are back to normal, which is not the case."

The royal commentator said, "I don't think there's any pressure on her to do that.""

The Princess has made four major public appearances in 2024 amid her illness, and while there was always talk about whether she would attend this year's reception, it was only announced a few hours before the event that Prince William would be joining the solo.

However, even though Princess Kate may not be wearing her best gown for the night, earlier in the day, the Royal family held a meeting related to her work on early childhood development at Windsor Castle, according to the circulars of the Great Palace Court, which she is close to her heart.

"The Princess of Wales, co-patron and Royal Foundation of Princes and Princesses of Wales held an initial meeting at Windsor Castle this morning," the Court circular entry read.

She missed the reception of the Diplomatic corps, but royal fans may just see the moment of the tiara on May 12, when the palace will host a state banquet for the Amir of Qatar. But as the princess herself said in her Moving Cancer update video on May 9, she joined the event when she noticed it and returned to royal life on her own terms
