Royal experts say "never underestimate" the ability of Princess Kate to bring out major "surprises" during the upcoming holiday events

Kate Middleton has kept low profile during this year's cancer battle, but one of the Royal events that is definitely written in the Royal Diary is her annual Christmas Carol concert, which will be held on May 1.

Festive events — confirmed to take place on 12 May. 6At Westminster Abbey - Since the start of 2021, it has been a highlight of the Royal calendar for each holiday season. The first event stood out for a number of reasons, but one of them was that the Princess of Wales treated the crowd (and the other world) during the concert

in case you missed it, the princess showed off a touching piano performance in honor of those lost during the pandemic — and it was the first time the Princess had played it. One royal expert is wondering if she might have another treat for royal fans on her sleeve this year.

Speaking at the Royal Exclusive Show of the Sun, Royal author Katie Nicol said the event was the "baby" of Princess Kate, adding that the "event" was very hers."

"She's been working on it behind the scenes. I predict the turnout of large families," said Nicole, referring to the expected attendance of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The author also noted that the Middleton family, which includes Kate's parents, Carol and Michael, and siblings Pippa and James, are likely to step out to support the princess as they have been in the past few years.

When the Sun's Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson wondered if the Princess of Wales would play the piano again, Nicole said, "I don't underestimate it, she's capacity for surprise."

Even without a royal performance, the royal author said the simple fact of being at Westminster Abbey to celebrate the holiday and return to her engagement would be a "great source of comfort" to the princess. According to the royal panel, the Princess of Wales was only seen on a handful of occasions in 2024, so it will also reassure the public.

At the end of the day, Nicole said that the Carol Concert is hopefully an event that will raise the spirits of Princess Kate. "I feel that this year will end with a note of hope and optimism for her," she added.
