Nicole Kidman added an elegant twist to the nude dress trend for her "seductive" premiere
At this point, the naked dress is done to death. Between the Met Gala and the Vma and the Billboard Awards (not to mention the matching after-party), celebrities wear see-through dresses in virtually every style. So it's rare to find a design that actually feels fresh — and Nicole Kidman's latest look is exactly that.
On the 11th month. 11, the actor walked the red carpet in Paris for the premiere of her new animated Netflix movie Spellbound. She was wearing a naked dress, yes, but it was a totally unexpected take that felt not naked at all.
Instead of all your typical naked style, Kidman took a more modest approach. Her floor-length Dolce & Gabbana gown featured a sheer base covered heavily with large floral appliques. It also had a long, bell sleeve, for additional coverage. From there, her stylist Jason Bolden added a simple white slip underneath, effectively neutralizing the obvious number.
Her outfit additions were simple and glamorous — the subdued styling on a pair of black pointed-toe pumps with some diamond-studded gemstones made the look faithful to Kidman's prim and proper style.
That said, her hair was easily the best accessory of all. Kidman wore her signature blonde waves in the early 2000s and Crimp added a laid-back, boho feel to her long white gown.
This dress actively screams "spring", but Kidman's styling resembled a charming ice princess - she was basically a walking snowflake. Take a page from her book and consider this your sign to wear a white bare dress to your next holiday party.
