Princess Charlene shares the 'hard' side of raising twins and reveals 'isolation' in her youth

Princess Charlene of Monaco, in an extensive interview with Gala magazine, is open about everything from aging to childhood to raising royal twins.

Charlene, a former Olympic swimmer representing South Africa, raised her 9-year-old twins (Prince Jack and Princess Gabriella) with her husband Albert 2.

"Gabriella is very curious," Charlene told the outlet. "She is very intrigued by the world and life in general. She asks a lot of questions and demands a lot of attention.

Discussing her son, Princess Charlene said, "As for Jack, he is curious and observant. [He] is more modest and naturally very calm.

Despite retiring from her sporting success, Charlene has always tried to stay healthy and healthy. "I walk, cycle and swim, but not as much as I used to," she told the Gala. "I don't practice swimming as hard as I did in the past. When I was young, I trained very hard and I physically challenged myself. These days, it's all about moderation.

Prince Albert's wife also reflects how she changed and evolved as she grew older. Now 47, Royal explained, "It can be very difficult because my nature is that I want to beat records, win medals and exceed my limits.""She continued, "But, close to 47 years old, I can no longer do it...My body will not let me. My spirit and my mind may, but my body says no!"

But Charlene definitely experienced the negative aspects of pursuing her elite sporting abilities as a child. "I was an athlete first and foremost," she told Gala. "I was training to participate in the Olympics. That was my goal. I sometimes felt a bit isolated from other 10-year-olds.As a result, she had little time for something other than honing her swimming skills. "I've dedicated all my days, weeks, and years to being at the top of my game.

Eventually, Princess Charlene got used to getting older. "I think you need to accept that [aging]," she explained. "Chasing eternal youth is an illusion. I simply try and stay as young as possible in my body and in my mind."
