King Charles may change some of Queen elizabeth's Christmas rituals, but he's less traditional.

Queen Elizabeth 2 reportedly performed a series of strict Christmas rituals for the royal family. From when she arrived at Sandringham to when the family exchanged gifts, the late Queen reportedly put a great emphasis on the holiday season. But her son, King Charles, may have implemented some changes this Christmas.

Royal Expert Duncan Larcombe opened up about plans for Charles's celebration in an interview with Miller. "Christmas at Sandringham has been absolutely central to the family for years and it looks certain that its legacy will continue with Charles," he explained.

"I don't think Charles will rip the rulebook exactly, but the likelihood that he will loosen some of the rules is strong," Larcombe told the outlet. "I think a lot of the more stoic aspects of Christmas were down to the Duke of Edinburgh, who was sticking around for the timing," he said. But I think the king is more relaxed about these things.

Larcombe also suggested that Charles could allow members of the Royal Family to discuss previously unrestricted topics this Christmas. "Traditionally, they are not allowed to engage in political talk over dinner, and they can not leave the table until the monarch does "and the royal speciality "But again, those protocols could now be gently phased out by Charles."

Queen Elizabeth loved Sandringham and valued the time she spent there for very specific reasons. "Sandringham had a very special place in the Queen's mind," Larcombe said. "It was the place where her father George 6 died in 1952, and it always gave her a special meaning."

It is unclear whether King Charles will make any major changes this Christmas, but it is reported that Kate Middleton will host her own 'rival' holiday party. However, Prince William is reportedly not a fan of his brother-in-law, so the likelihood that Queen Camilla's son, Tom Parker Bowles, will be invited is not only

, but will reportedly host an alternative holiday party and Princess Kate will host her annual Christmas concert.
