Olivia Munn and John Mulaney recently welcomed their 2nd child together. But when Mann was pregnant with her first baby, she was not in an established relationship with the comedian.

In Mulaney's GQ profile, Munn shared that her pregnancy was somewhat of a shock to both because they were not really related at the time. "It wasn't close to 'dating'," Mann explained. "I knew very little of him.

According to the profile, Munn and Mulaney first met at their wedding in 2013, but it wasn't until early 2021 that they reconnected. Munn reportedly helped mulaney find an apartment in New York after he left rehab, and that was where their romance began

"The subsequent relationship was as short as it was," GQ reported. "If the tabloids thought they had a scoop about their dating, it was never true, so the joke was on them: they were just babies

Munn told Gq that Mulaney was excited to have a baby with her, regardless of whether they were in a romantic relationship or not. It is not the first time that we have seen such a large number of cases. She told the outlet, "It wasn't necessarily 'We're going to get married and live together' or any of that, but it was 'I'll get involved in some way'.

Munn and Mulaney did not live together for most of the actress's pregnancy. As a result, Mann assumed that they were more likely to parent a baby, not a couple. Munn was not sure how he would support the comedian, as Mulaney had just recently completed his stay at the rehab facility.

"It was like seeing a man in a tsunami," Munn explained. "I was seeing a new, sober person at the edge of a cliff, and I didn't know him enough to help him.

While navigating the turbulent times in their lives, Mulaney was reportedly delighted about the next birth of his first child. "That's the one thing that made him look light and happy," Mann revealed. "I remember he was really excited to talk to his parents.

Earlier this year, Munn announced the birth of a second child with Mulaney on Instagram. "Méijune Mulaney appeared in the world in 2024-9-14, the Year of the Dragon," she captioned the post.

The actress continued, "I had so many profound feelings about not being able to carry my daughter. When I first met our gestational surrogate we talked mother to mother. She showed me so much grace and understanding, I knew I had found a real angel."
