Halle Berry re-wears the 2002 Oscar naked dress on the runway at Ellie Saab
Halle Berry's Burgundy Ellie Saab dress shows her what a tropical print Versace gown is for Jennifer Lopez. Over the years, it became recognized as the greatest appearance of the actor of all time, J.Like Lo, Berry reprised the iconic design of the runway.
On the 11th month. The actor took the stage at the Elie Saab's 13th Season's Runway Show, an event celebrating the brand's 45th anniversary, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the 1001st. While Jennifer Lopez performed in a new glittering bodysuit, Berry wore a number from Saab's latest collection. According to the press release, the lineup "aims to reinterpret the classic story through a modern and luxurious lens.Berry's particular gown was a recreation of her 2002 Oscar dress, which she wore to accept the actress at the Academy Awards for her performance in the Monster Ball.
The modern interpretation of Saab, with some minor changes, was substantially identical to the original design. It featured the same sheer mesh bodice and swirling skirt made of iridescent burgundy fabric. But the low waist is slightly tightened, giving it a high-rise look. Meanwhile, the floral embroidery on the dress was updated with sparkling sequins.
Berry looked incredibly elegant and her dark hair was tied into a sleek ballerina pan that showed off her sparkling earrings. Her makeup was shining in bronze, and there was a wine-red blush, imitating the tone of the dress. It was in great contrast to her 2002 gram and included a berry hairstyle of the era with shiny lips: a spiky pixie cut with baby bangs.
"There are several moments in life and they change our lives forever," Berry wrote in X. "Winning an Academy Award in my @ElieSaabWorld gown was one of those moments for me!1 Thanks to Mr. Saab for being a part of the tapestry of my life as we have been closely connected for 22 years now!
