Prince Harry prepares for trial in May in illegal intelligence gathering lawsuit against British tabloids

Prince Harry is reportedly preparing to file his lawsuit in court.

On Friday, 11 May. 16 (Upi)ー David Sherborne, a lawyer for the Duke of Sussex, confirmed that the Royal case against New Group Newspapers (NGN), the publisher of the British tabloid The Sun, will continue and will go to trial in 2025.

NGN is owned by Rupert Murdoch, the controversial media mogul who founded Fox News.

Prince Harry has accused publishers of phone hacking and other "privacy breaches" between 1996 and 2011. The Duke of Sussex claims that both the "Sun" and the "News of the world" had targeted him using those alleged practices.

NGN denies any allegations or misconduct.

According to people, the High Court ruled that Prince Harry's legal team had access to "additional emails between senior NGN staff and members of the Royal Family."This was claimed to be "important" to the ongoing case of the Duke of Sussex.

People believe that the judge, Judge Fancourt, has "sufficient justification" for the email in question to be disclosed, and that "there are credible cases to say that a complete picture is necessary for the benefit of justice."

Prince Harry has been involved in a controversial legal battle for some time, attracting a lot of attention over his privacy and security. In 2022, the Duke of Sussex won a defamation lawsuit against the Mail on Sunday. The legal victory, one of the first of the Royal, came after he filed a lawsuit against the relevant newspaper.1He has published the Daily Mail and the Sunday Mail, that same year.
