Ben Affleck calls Jennifer Lopez “amazing” amid divorce

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez may be divorced, but that doesn't mean they don't have much respect for each other's work yet.

The former spouse is actually working on the upcoming film Unstoppable, with Lopez starring in the film and Affleck and his companion Matt Damon acting as producers.

Affleck, Damon and Cillian Murphy recently sat down at Entertainment Tonight for an interview about their movie "Small Things Like These." On May 8, the reporter had the opportunity to ask Damon and Affleck about things that can't be stopped.

"Unstoppable is a completely different film from this, but in a way it's also rooted in the passion of a really talented artist," Affleck replied. Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer and Don Cheadle and Jarrell... All of them were really passionate about this film.

He continued, "We really believe in the power of storytelling when the people involved in it are deeply emotionally connected to the story.

As for his ex-wife's performance, the Gone Girl star said, "Jennifer is spectacular," adding, "[This film] is another 1 we're really proud of.

Lopez and Affleck married before 2022-2024, and the "Jenny from the Block" singer filed for divorce on May 8. 20, one of their wedding anniversary. The application was a surprise to absolutely everyone, given that rumors of divorce had been gaining momentum rapidly since early May 5. Proof that these rumors had at least some truth to them, Lopez cited their official separation date as 4/26.

The couple rekindled their relationship in mid・2021 after the Hustler actress separated from Alex Rodriguez. They were originally dating and engaged between 2002 and 2004.

Still, their relationship appears to be at least cordial, since the two were spotted for lunch with some of their children in mid-September, and are also seen meeting with Hollywood's "disso Queen" Laura Wasser, presumably to negotiate the terms of their divorce.
