Hugh Jackman talks about the Martha Stewart-Ryan Reynolds feud

Rather than defend his friend Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman doubled down on Martha Stewart's somewhat uncharitable comments about the Canadian actor.

Appearing on the Bilt Rewards Rent Free Game Show, Stewart was asked which celebrity she thought people would enjoy the most, to which Reynolds replied that Reynolds would be on people's lists, but she didn't think so.

“And you want to know something,” she said. 'No, he's not that funny. He's very serious.”

She continued, “I don't know. He can act funny, but he's not funny. I might be able to be funny again ... He's my neighbor, so I'm in trouble.”

But despite the possibility of “getting in trouble,” Stewart concluded, “I would take Ryan off [the list] and cast someone else.”

The Deadpool actor made his best attempt to prove the media mogul wrong, tweeting, “I disagree with her. But I tried once. That woman is unexpectedly fine. She really closed the gap in a mile or so.”

But Reynolds could not count on fellow Australian Jackman, who weighed in on Stewart's comments: “Finally, someone says, 'I'm not going to be a part of this.

In the past, Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively were always in the headlines for their public trolling of each other, but in recent months Jackman has replaced Lively in that particular role.

Since starring in Deadpool & Wolverine, and throughout the production process, the two have enjoyed poking fun at each other in public. But even before that, Jackman was known to prank Reynolds.

Even Taylor Swift was amused when “Deadpool & Wolverine” was released, lavishing praise on Jackman before calling his best friend Reynolds “my godfather's sperm donor.” Poor Ryan.
