Friends of Princess Diana believe the British royal family is finally “listening” to Prince Harry.
Prince William recently opened up about his late mother Princess Diana and brother Prince Harry in the ITV documentary Prince William: We Can End Homelessness. According to one royal expert, Prince William's remarks could be interpreted as a positive sign in the Duke of Sussex's relationship with the royal family.
In the documentary, William reflected on Diana's charity work. She took both Harry and me,” William explained. 'I think I was about 11 at the time, maybe 10. It was my first time going to a place like that. I was a little nervous about what was going to happen. [According to the Express, journalist Richard Kay, who was a friend of Diana's, told the newspaper, “I was a little nervous about what was going to happen. How could they separate Harry from what his mother had taken them both to?”
Kaye continued, “But I think there's something calculated, something of an olive branch.”
I don't know if William had any particular motivation for mentioning his brother in the new documentary. However, Kay suggested that “maybe this is a sign that the family is listening,” and that they may eventually be reunited.
William said in an ITV documentary about his first visit to Passage, “My mother, as always, made everyone relaxed, laughing and joking. I remember thinking at the time that everyone would be really sad if we all lost our homes.”
William was also struck by “how happy the environment” of the London-based organization was. [playing chess and chatting. It was then that I realized that there were people out there who didn't have the same kind of life that I did.”
Prince William was so strongly impacted by his mother that he became a royal patron of Passage.
“I feel that given my position and platform, I should make a difference,” William explained in the documentary.
“I've spent enough time learning and listening to what people have gone through, and I'm not going to let that stop me from trying to make a difference.
