Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck may be divorcing, but their respective families are as close as ever.

Exhibit A: Jennifer's sister Linda Lopez visited Ben's daughter Violet Affleck at Yale University.

On Instagram, the superstar's sister, a journalist and author, posted a sweet selfie with Violet posing on the fall campus of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Linda published two other beautiful photos of the university and captioned them, “New Haven with my favorite Yalie!”

Linda's sister Jennifer and Violet's close relationship is well known, and the two are known to have hung out many times after Benifer's official separation date.

In late May, when divorce rumors were flying, the “Jenny From the Block” singer attended Violet's graduation party at her mother Jennifer Garner's house, coming with the “Gone Girl” actor and leaving alone.

Later, while the JLo Beauty founder was on vacation in the Hamptons for the summer (without Ben), Violet began staying with her famous stepmother. At the time, a source told “Entertainment Tonight” that the Tender Bar actor found Jennifer and Violet's intimacy “troubling.”

Meanwhile, Violet's being sent off as a freshman at the prestigious school was a big deal for the entire Garner-Affleck-Lopez clan. A few days before Ben and Jennifer's divorce became public, a source told “People” that the film producer was “very focused on getting Violet ready to move in,” adding, “Of course, it's a big deal for the whole family, and everyone has been very excited the last few weeks.”

Jennifer filed for divorce on August 20 after two years of marriage and months of rumored breakups.

Since then, it is very clear that both former spouses continue to be committed to the other's children, as evidenced when Ben, Jennifer, and their respective children went out to lunch together in Los Angeles in mid-September.

Ben is a dad to Violet, Finn, and Samuel, while Jennifer has twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
