Zendaya takes a romantic stroll with Tom Holland in a reasonably priced reformatted sweater
Last week, Zendaya and Tom Holland wore their hearts on their sleeves in matching burgundy date night wear. This week, they are redefining the concept of “making life romantic” by coordinating their outfits with affordable basics.
The two, who look like the stars of a cult-favorite romantic comedy, took a break from googling each other to walk Zendaya's dog, Noon Coleman, around Boston over the weekend. Zendaya relaxed in an affordable reformulated sweater in a shade of gray knitted from reclaimed wool. Her new chocolate brown lob was wavy and parted down the middle, and her fingertips were adorned with naked nails, while Z was dressed soberly in olive brown pants with what appeared to be Converse sneakers peeking out from the hem. Holland, meanwhile, wore a boxy striped T-shirt, jeans, and white sneakers. In other words, a hot fall boyfriend starter pack.
We're used to seeing Zendaya in over-the-top outfits staged by Lo Roach, including a Cher-inspired naked dress, a Mugler robot suit, and a Louis Vuitton custom-made gown. Rare date outfits with Tom Holland are exquisitely themed and generally unaffordable, like the Shakespearean dress she wore to the premiere of “Romeo and Juliet” in May. For example, the Shakespearean dress she wore to the premiere of “Romeo and Juliet” in May, or the custom-made burgundy LV that matched the burgundy top she wore to the launch party for “Bero.”
Casual Zendaya sightings are rare and often carry a four- or five-digit designer tag. A recent errand in Los Angeles was a Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote bag (classic but expensive), and it's refreshing to see Z color-coordinating with a sweater as sophisticated and affordable and reformatted as Tom Holland's: she really She's doing fall layering just as well as we are.
The Euphoria star is just one of the many celebrities who are spending fall comfortably in Reformation knitwear. Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have the same oversized Reformation sweaters, and Olivia Rodrigo has given her Reformation cardigan the Gen Z seal of approval. More A-listers will be matching their sweaters with their partners' outfits this cuffing season. We can't help but love it.
