"The hottest British Royal never heard of" began military training at the same school as Prince William and Prince Harry
We all know there have been many royal favorites over the years (raise your hand if you had a poster of Prince William on your wall as a child). Alexander Ogilvy, grandson of Princess Alexandra, Queen Elizabeth's cousin, has turned out to be active in the same military school that Prince Harry and Prince William once attended.
Ogilvy, 27, is currently attending the grueling 44-week course at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst; in addition to Prince Harry and Prince William, who graduated from Sandhurst in 2006, the Duke of Kent also attended this British Military Academy.
This choice may come as a surprise to Alexander, once called “the hottest British royal you've never heard of.” Prior to attending Sandhurst College, Alexander worked as a product manager at Prove, a tech company in New York City. [Born in 1996 to Princess Alexandra's son James Ogilvy and Julia Laurinso, he has an older sister, Flora, who married Timothy Vesterberg in a stylish royal wedding in 2021. Despite their royal connections, the brother-sister duo had relatively normal childhoods, with neither having any titles or royal official duties (Alexander is currently 59th in line to the throne).
Flora, who works as an art historian, shared her excitement about her brother's military career on Instagram in September, writing, “I am filled with admiration for you. You are forever thoughtful and inspiring."
While his sister, Flora, has been in the spotlight in the art world, Alexander has chosen a more private path, but still occasionally shows up at select royal family gatherings. Most recently, he attended Queen Elizabeth's funeral in 2022.
