Jennifer Lopez was truly honored by a sweet comment Ben Affleck recently made to her.

Asked in a red carpet interview what she thought about her ex-husband calling her performance in their film “Unstoppable” “amazing,” Lopez was visibly moved and thanked the reporter for passing along the comment. She was then asked what she thought of Affleck's production.

“I would describe it as spectacular and wonderful, both for everyone in the cast and behind the scenes,” Lopez replied!

A few days earlier, Affleck was asked about collaborating with his ex-girlfriend in an interview about another project, Small Things Like These.

“‘Unstoppable’ is a very different film than this one, but in a way it's rooted in the passions of some really talented artists. Billy Goldenberg, Jennifer, Don Cheadle, Jarrell... All of them were really passionate about this film.”

He continued. We really believe in the power of storytelling when the people involved in it are deeply emotionally connected to the story.”

Of the singers in “Jenny from the Block,” Affleck said, “Jennifer is amazing. [The film] is also a piece of work that I'm really, really proud of.”

Affleck served as producer of Unstoppable with longtime friend Matt Damon, and Lopez appears in the film along with Jarrell Jerome, Michael Pena, Don Cheadle, and Bobby Cannavale. The film is about Anthony Robles, a wrestler who became a champion in the sport despite being born with one leg.

Lopez filed for divorce from the Gone Girl actor on August 20, exactly two years after their wedding in Georgia. The filing came after months of speculation that their relationship had broken down. They reunited in mid-2021, 14 years after their 2004 breakup. At the time, they were engaged, but never tied the knot.

The two appear to have maintained an amicable relationship as their divorce progressed.
