Jennifer Lopez with her $6,000 Lady Dior bag inspired by Princess Diana
So far, Jennifer Lopez has maintained a very distinct aesthetic on her “Unstoppable” press tour. White is the base color, clean lines and simple silhouettes. Since Princess Diana is the ultimate muse of subtlety and sophistication, J.Lo chose to incorporate the late royal's vibe right down to her signature handbags.
At a photocall for her new film on November 6, Lopez was photographed looking exactly like the late Princess Diana in her native country. She wore Dior at the London event, and her outfit was filled with various style signatures of the luxury maison. She began with the brand's white double-breasted coat ($4,700) over a black turtleneck. Fresh mannequin manicures by nail artist Tom Bachik adorned her fingertips.
From there, Lopez added a few all-black accessories to complement the jacket's contrast buttons. The “Jenny From the Block” singer chose a Dior-branded wide-brimmed hat and a Lady Dior handbag named after Princess Diana. The bag was made of quilted leather with matching matte black hardware.
From the front, Lopez appeared to complete her royal look with simple knee-high patent leather boots. From the side, however, the avant-garde backless style with buckles and gold orb heels revealed itself.
While Lopez's shoes were undeniably daring, the rest of her outfit was 100 percent Princess Diana-inspired. The late Princess Diana preferred to wear a white blazer, and she also wore styles with black buttons, like J.Lo's. Princess Diana was also known as a lover of Lady Dior bags, which were initially called Chouche, but were renamed in honor of Princess Diana.
Keep this look in your back pocket for the next time you need to look chic and sophisticated; with supporters like J.Lo and Lady Di, you really can't go wrong.
