Anne Hathaway enjoys a post-election sanity walk in comfortable all-white basics with Adidas Samba
On November 6, Anne Hathaway was photographed taking a walk in Central Park, presumably to preserve her post-election sanity. (Like most people upset about the election results, her “go touch the grass” outfit was the epitome of comfortable dressing, combining basic items with Adidas sneakers.
The “Princess Diaries” actor paired all-white with a pop of blue (a styling trick employed by Jennifer Lopez two days earlier) in an easy layered look. She kept it monotone by pairing lightweight pants with a white cable-knit cardigan.
Her shoes were another reliable favorite. Instead of slippers, which she would have preferred to wear, Hathaway wore Adidas' signature Samba (second best in comfort), $100 white with black stripes and gray suede on the toe.
Her other accessories were equally laid-back and cool: an XL-size black leather tote bag slung over her shoulder and a pair of large sunglasses. (A practical choice to hide her swollen eyes, if she's my type.) Her gold necklace featured a thick chain and what appeared to be a pavé pendant.
Hathaway vocally endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris' 2024 presidential bid; after voting on November 5, the star posted the traditional ballot sticker selfie. 'I voted like half the country's lives depended on it,' she wrote on Instagram. 'I voted for Kamala Harris.
The takeaway from her day-after look isn't just about layering cozy sweaters for easy-to-wear hugs. Take a cue from Hathaway and touch the grass today.
