Jennifer Lopez doubles down on the leopard print trend with a coat dress and slouchy boots
Jennifer Lopez took a walk on the wild side in London during the press tour for Unstoppable After dressing Princess Diana in Dior at the film's photocall on Thursday (November 6), the star donned J.Lo's quintessential head-to-toe leopard print ensemble, it seems.
Paparazzi got a good look at the outfit while she returned to her hotel that evening. Her base layer appears to be the same black turtleneck she wore for the photo call. But over that, she wore a snow-white Dior double-breasted coat and wide-brimmed bucket hat, a collarless leopard-print trend jacket, and slouchy matching knee-high boots with tiny bows on the toes. It's a wonder I never thought to wear a knee-length or calf-length coat as a dress. A coat is truly a “dress waiting to happen.
The actor also carried a small black clutch bag and wore several chunky gold rings, perfectly paired with a nude pink mannequin manicure applied by celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik. Her makeup favored her signature beat: dusky brown eye makeup, peachy bronze cheeks, and a glossy nude lip. Her caramel-colored hair was sleekly blow-dried with ends that curled gently inward toward her face.
The “Let's Get Loud” singer's choice of leopard print could not be more timely, given the resurgence of the leopard print trend on the fashion month circuit with the likes of Marni, Isabel Marant, and Michael Kors. However, she is not the only celebrity to embrace the trend: in September alone, Hailey Bieber wore a leopard-on-leopard outfit with red Adidas sneakers to church, Eva Mendes wore a sheer leopard print dress with a cornflower blue coat to and made a rare appearance on “Good Morning America. Further back, model Ashley Graham paired a leopard bodycon dress with metallic gold sandals, cat-eye sunglasses, and large studded hoop earrings. [Punchy accent colors and leopard-print accessories doubled the drama. There is certainly an option to show restraint by tempering the bold print with warm, neutral fall must-haves like black, brown, and ivory. However, Jennifer Lopez and I seem to agree that when it comes to dressing, the goal should be to have as much fun as possible.
