Kate Middleton, Queen Camilla's attendance “depends on doctor's advice,” but will she return to royal duties after two events are confirmed?

Princess Kate, who is battling cancer, has been taking slow and steady steps regarding her return to royal duties, but on Friday, November 8, Buckingham Palace announced that the princess will be attending two major royal events over the weekend.

The 42-year-old royal, who announced her cancer diagnosis in March, will attend both the annual Festival of Remembrance concert in London on Saturday, November 9, and the Remembrance Day service on Sunday. Both events honor the service and sacrifice of the British people who risked their lives to protect their country.

Unfortunately, Queen Camilla was forced to cancel official events this week while battling a chest infection, and it is unclear if she will attend either event. According to the Palace, Queen Camilla's attendance “will be subject to medical advice as the time approaches.”

While Camilla may need to continue recuperating at home, the members of the royal family confirmed to attend the “Festival of Remembrance” with the Princess of Wales are Prince William, King Charles, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent, Princess Anne and her husband, Vice Admiral Timothy Lawrence.

On Sunday, Princess Kate, along with members of the aforementioned royal family, will attend a solemn ceremony at the Cenotaph in London to honor Remembrance Sunday.

Typically, royal ladies wear red poppy brooches and pearl jewelry during this event.

Saturday will be the third public event of 2024, following Trooping the Colour in June and the Wimbledon men's final in July. He also met privately with teenage cancer patient Liz Hutton, and in October, he and Prince William spoke with emergency workers and families affected by the tragic stabbing deaths of three children.
