Adele hugs Celine Dion in the audience at her Las Vegas concert.

We don't think Adele would argue with us when we say she witnessed the best moment of her life this past weekend.

The British singer found Canadian singer Celine Dion in the audience during her residency show in Las Vegas over the weekend. She ran up to Dion, red-faced and crying, and hugged her warmly. Dion kissed Adele's hand and the “Hello” performer burst into tears as she bobbed her shoulders up and down.

In a video that has circulated widely on social media since the exchange occurred, someone witnessing the once-in-a-lifetime moment can be heard repeatedly exclaiming, “Oh my God.”

“This really felt like she proudly handed the keys to Adele,” a concertgoer named Nasser told BBC News after the event.

“And when Adele gave her a hug, everyone felt what she felt.

When Adele returned to the stage, she called Dion “one of my most favorite people.” [According to BBC News, Adele's residency at the Coliseum Theater at Caesars Palace was originally created for Dion herself; she began her Las Vegas residency around 2003.

The two women have also shared career-defining moments for Adele in the past, with Dion presenting the young woman with the Grammy Award for Song Of The Year in 2017.

In addition, as bizarre proof that Dion has been an inspiration to Adele over the years, the pop star once revealed to Vogue that she keeps a piece of Dion's gum framed as a keepsake!

Adele's Las Vegas residency, Weekend with Adele, begins in November 2022, with only eight shows remaining.
