Prince Charles Gains “Great Strength” from Queen Camilla on Royal Tour in the Midst of Cancer Treatment
King Charles and Queen Camilla have completed their royal tour of Australia and Samoa.
During the tour, the King was welcomed into the House of Pain and Queen Camilla spoke about her husband's unusual bedtime. Camilla also shed a tear when King Charles suggested that she might not “live long enough” to return to the provinces. Throughout it all, however, Queen Camilla reportedly remained a pillar of support for King Charles.
“The king derives great strength from having the queen there. [The source also said that Prince Charles enjoys being able to make the royal tour and that “it is a great measure of the King's ability to face his [cancer] diagnosis, and he believes strongly in mind, body, and soul, and the combination works very well in a visit like this.
For Prince Charles, fulfilling his duties as British monarch is of paramount importance, says the magazine's royal source. “It's hard to overstate the pleasure he gets from duty, service, being in public, and seeing those crowds engage with different communities,” they explained. 'It makes him feel good. You can see that.”
Over the weekend, the King and Queen attended a traditional Aba ceremony in the village of Sium. There, Prince Charles was awarded the honorary title of Toaiga o Tumua and gave a moving speech in which he revealed how much he had enjoyed his royal tour.
“I will always remain committed to this part of the world and hope to live long enough to return and see you all again,” King Charles said (via the Daily Mail). 'We promise to bring back some very special memories of our time here. Thank you for your wonderful gift."
