Prince Charles “happy” to “quietly ask” Princess Eugenie about Prince Harry

It was recently reported that Princess Eugenie was in a “precarious position” between Prince Harry and King Charles. Now, a respected royal expert has suggested that Prince Charles is likely grateful for the connection he has with Harry through Eugenie.

In a new interview with OK! magazine, former BBC royal correspondent Jenny Bond said of the situation, “Eugenie definitely has some challenges in maintaining a good relationship with Harry and Meghan and the rest of the royal family.”

Bond continued. 'But I think the King is probably pleased that Harry still clearly trusts at least one royal cousin and probably wants to see him more.'

Noting that members of the Royal Family are often incredibly busy, Bond suggested that any connection the King might have with the Duke of Sussex would be incredibly important.

“But I think it's a positive thing that Prince Charles has someone he can quietly ask about Harry's safety if he wants to. Harry would also be able to get a feel for the family through Eugenie.”

“Any reconciliation - which is still unlikely at this stage - has to start somewhere and with someone,” Bond noted. And that someone could possibly be Eugenie.”

Bond suggested that the fact that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are rumored to be buying a property in Portugal, close to Princess Eugenie's home, shows how close the two are.

“I think it probably suggests that they want their children to know at least some of their family in England,” Bond told the outlet.

“It will be good for Archie and Lilibet to spend time with their little cousins, and Eugenie will remain an important link to Harry and the rest of the family.”

No matter what happens to the royal family as a whole, it seems that Eugenie and Harry will remain closely bonded.

Commenting on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's big decision, Bond said, “I'm not sure why they feel the need to buy a place rather than stay with Jack and Eugenie or rent a place, but it does It suggests that they are going to be spending more time on this side of the Atlantic.”
