On October 28, Aniston, who played Rachel Green, posted a sweet black-and-white photo of her and Perry in the 1990s, as well as other photos they shared, with the caption “one year,” and the emoji of a broken heart and dove. She also tagged the Matthew Perry Foundation, which supports people dealing with addiction.
Stars such as Jennifer Garner, Maren Morris, and Olivia Munn also shared Aniston's grief in their comments.
Cox, who played Monica Geller-Chandler Bing's wife, captioned her post with a red heart emoji, “I miss you today and always,” and tagged the Matthew Perry Foundation.
Elsewhere, Perry's stepfather, Keith Morrison, opened up about how the actor felt about himself before his death.
“There was a time when you would pick up a tabloid and see pictures of overweight actors walking down the street looking not so good or going to restaurants,” Morrison explained to this week's issue of People. [And I think he [felt] he had failed. He didn't understand that he was a beloved person.
There is no denying that Perry was loved beyond measure; when the 17 Again actor died, tributes poured in from around the world, including from famous co-stars and friends.
“I will never forget your impeccable comic timing and storytelling,” David Schwimmer wrote on Instagram at the time.
“Your ability to bend linear dialogue at will, resulting in utterly original and unexpected laughs still amazes me. [and you had a heart. You were generous and shared with us.
“It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye. The time we spent together was honestly one of my favorite times of my life,” Matt LeBlanc wrote.
“It was an honor to have shared the stage with you and call you my friend. You always make me smile when I think of you and I will never forget you. Never."
