Mike Tindall says he got into trouble when he “pretended” to hit Prince Harry.

Former rugby player Mike Tyndall, who is married to Princess Anne's daughter Zara Tyndall, has plenty of hilarious stories about the Royal Family. In his new book, The Good, the Bad & the Rugby-Unleashed, co-authored with fellow rugby players Alex Payne and James Haskell, Tyndall reveals the time he fake punched Prince Harry.

Haskell (via the Express) says, “[Mike] got into a bit of trouble once when he appeared on a live version of [the British TV show] A Question of Sport... At a party after the 2003 World Cup final, he and Iain Balshaw told a story about pretending to hit Prince Harry and joked that the Royal Family really wanted to hit him,”

he explained.

He continued, “It was a bit of a mess, if you can call it trouble. ...... This became public knowledge again... When [royal commentator] Omid Scobie started defending Harry and Meghan, a lot of trolls attacked [Mike].

Gaskell continued, “When things are taken out of their intended zone, all context, irony, and humor are lost. To be fair to Mike, he doesn't mind such things at all, but it is very annoying to him."

Gaskell also said, ”I'm not sure how much of a problem this is, but it is a very good thing.

Meanwhile, in an excerpt from the book published in the Daily Mail, Tyndall revealed that there is an uncut version of a podcast episode he recorded with Kate Middleton and Prince William.

Tyndall wrote of the Crown Prince and Princess' appearance on the show, “They came across as down-to-earth, fully engaged, funny, and knowledgeable. Not because I thought they were boring (I already knew they weren't boring), but because I knew how carefully controlled things about the royal family were.”

Teasing the uncut episode, Tyndall writes, ” I think the podcast humanized them a bit.
