Kate Middleton and Prince William's villa is haunted
Prince William and Kate Middleton may spend most of their time at their home, Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, but they also own a country house called Anmer Hall. The Norfolk property, which was reportedly a wedding gift to the couple from Queen Elizabeth II, is both a relaxing country retreat and apparently haunted.
Paranormal historian Richard Felix told Hello! magazine's A Right Royal Podcast that Princess Kate and Prince William's Georgian home is haunted by the ghost of a Tudor priest who was murdered for his beliefs.
“When the Crown Prince and Princess moved into Anmer Hall, which was almost on the grounds of Sandringham Manor, it was haunted by the ghost of a Catholic priest who lived there and was hanged, drawn and quartered for high treason,” Felix told the podcast.
The historian added that the ghost “came back to his house. All signs point to St. Henry Walpole, a Jesuit priest executed in 1595, as the ghost of William and Kate's resident. His family owned Anmer Hall, and according to the Express, Walpole's ghost “is said to have been seen in the gardens, and his calling is said to be heard when the Norfolk wind blows”
. [He was executed in York, but [Kate and William] actually heard his voice. And they have seen the ghost of a purported priest wandering around Anmer Hall,” said the paranormal expert.
And although the Prince and Princess of Wales had been informed about the ghost beforehand, apparently they were not too bothered by the horror stories. 'We were warned about the ghost before the Prince and Princess of Wales moved in,' Felix said, 'and I believe the comment was made by Prince William.' Felix said so on the podcast.
Prince Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, also admitted that there may be ghosts in her home, and Queen Elizabeth's last two corgis (now living with Ferguson at the Royal Lodge) “bark at nothing,” Hello! ' and suspects that Queen Elizabeth's ghost may be 'passing through.'
While this sounds frightening to the average person, historians have explained that it is quite commonplace for royalty. In the documentary “The King of UFOs,” Felix said, “They live with ghosts. Most people aren't afraid to have ghosts in their homes.”
As for Halloween, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are currently on half-term break from school, so they are probably playing tricks (or at least saving candy for them) on their haunted friends in Norfolk this week.
