Princess Kate, cancer-free, works to manage her “stress level
In September, we broke the news that Princess Kate had completed preventive chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis. Now, a new report reveals how Princess Kate Middleton is managing her health and “stress levels” now that she has survived cancer.
According to Us Weekly, a “source” said that Princess Kate was happy to return to official royal functions when her health improved.
“Kate loves reconnecting with her community and representing her family, but is trying to balance her duties with her personal health. She appreciates her sense of purpose, but wants to make sure her stress levels are not (too) high."
[6In addition to being aware of her stress levels, the Princess is reportedly also concerned about her health after a difficult year.
Christopher Andersen, a royal expert, told Us Weekly, “Kate is much better than she was a few weeks ago. The treatment seems to have worked and she is very relieved to be able to say she is cancer-free, but taking nothing for granted. She is following her doctor's orders. [It's] baby steps.”
A source also told the magazine that while Kate is eager to return to her royal public duties, she must pace herself. That source explained, “She loves her job, but it can be exhausting.”
Meanwhile, Andersen noted that Princess Kate would not be rushing to keep a full schedule just yet.
“Princess Kate has been doing [this work] for a while, but she is not back to full strength yet. It will be a while - certainly months - before we see her plunging headlong into a full-time schedule.”
Another source told the publication that Kate's team is “scaling things back in terms of not letting her travel too quickly.”
Royal writer Robert Hardman also told the publication that there is “realistic optimism” within the royal family. However, that does not mean that the princess will continue to work all the time. He explained, “Kate is certainly aware that she shouldn't put too much stress on herself.”
